Romney gathers power in the "Quickening" as Santorum suspends his campaign.

Now that Santorum has suspended his campaign Romney’s nomination is a lock.  Gingrich continues to delude himself, but when $500 checks from the campaign coffers bounce, you know the show is on life support.

I have many friends who hold out support for  Ron Paul.  Well, our society’s “kingmakers” have ignored him from the beginning.   As popular as Paul is that popularity is not enough to get him anywhere near a candidacy let alone the presidency.   I don’t know what role Paul could assume to push forward his truly constitutionally based policies.  How a man like Obama can ascend to the presidency while Paul is ignored demonstrates the bias and corruption within the two party old guard system.

Let’s remember that as powerful as the President is, we have a Supreme Court to consider and two houses of elected legislators  Just as the progressive/liberals have pushed their agenda incrementally for nearly a century, we must be prepared to do the same.

A second Obama term would lose the Supreme Court for a generation.   Surely in a second term he’ll appoint two justices.   Those appointments are for life.  This must not be allowed.

We must also continue to place Tea Party candidates into both the Senate and House of Representatives.  Place more elected representatives like Ron Paul.  This will be  a protracted tug of war.  The left NEVER gives up.  We must not either.

Anybody who believes that the continued pursuit of the nomination by Santorum and even Gingrich will somehow hurt the Republicans chances in the Presidential election is really just well,  WRONG.

Whoever our nominee is will be running against BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA.  Despite any hard feelings that may be generated by the primary process, there is no one who opposes Obama that will vote for him because of the nastiness in the primaries.

The only thing that will matter is that our candidate must be unrelenting and merciless in his “attack” on the President.  I hope that Romney or whomever can unflinchingly “beat up on” Obama.  McCain didn’t have the stomach for it.  We need someone who does.

In the past, political power was transferred by murder or war or violence of some sort.  These days, at least here in America we really just talk really, really awfully to our opponents.  It IS ugly, but it’s much better than blood in the streets!

I didn’t care for Romney when he ran in the last presidential Republican primary and I don’t really care for him now.  He’s so bland.

Well, maybe that’s not so bad.  The left has tried to make much of his cold capitalist ways and his lack of hipness.  They waste their time and squander what little political capital they’ve been able to muster.  The truth is that whatever Romney lacks in eliciting excitement, their guy, Mr. O elicits monumental disdain.  No matter how they try to spin his record, Obama’s only real agenda has been to “make the rich pay their fair share.”

He has made no progress creating jobs, his energy policy has produced neither safer or greener energy in any meaningful quantity while his administration has worked diligently to hamstring all the current energy production.  He seems to think there is no consequence to piling on debt at a pace no past president could have even conceived

They try to pose him as a moderate, but no one with eyes to see is fooled.

Romney may be “cold,”  but he’s mature.  He is NOT an ideologue.  He is pragmatic and knows how it is that the real world works.

I think Romney’s strength may prove to be in the better management of our trade and diplomatic relations.  I don’t see him rushing into any armed conflict, but I’ll bet when it comes to treaties with our trading partners, he’ll write deals much more favorable to America than any recent President.  I think that’s his nature.  I could be overly optimistic, but our county’s founders had great faith in the “diplomacy” of trade.  It just may be that we could see a better economy for ourselves, more respect on the world stage with a trade policy run by a capitalist.

The bar chart presented on the National Debt A...

While the take down of Osama Bin Laden absorbs most of our collective media and personal attention a perhaps more urgent battle looms than the continuing “war on terror.”

Soon, congress will be faced again with the “necessity” to raise the debt limit to avoid financial default.  While the consequences of default are real and perhaps really unpleasant, the runaway debt and spending of the federal government is a much greater, more devastating danger.

Currently enjoying the company of 72 virgins.

There is much speculation on the real impact of Bin Laden‘s death. How will Al Qaeda manage without him? Will current plots stall or be sped up? Will budding terrorists be inspired or deflated? Who knows?

The answer is probably YES! Any which way an individual or organization could react will happen somewhere by someone. These are events out of our control.

Donald Trump enters the Oscar De LA Renta Fash...

The most colorful personage to appear on the political scene in decades is quite obviously Donald Trump.   The Donald has been making A LOT of noise recently about a run for the presidency and maybe more importantly, why the Obama presidency is failing.

I’ve never been a big fan of  “The Donald,” however, I find myself listening intently when he speaks of our relations with China, OPEC and the world at large.

Destroying freedom for over 100 years!

To no one’s surprise president Obama announced that he will run for reelection in 2012.  After nearly three years is there anyone who would deny that our president is a radical socialist?  I for one am convinced that he IS.

Here is an analysis by Glenn Beck of Obama’s own words which demonstrates the man’s ideology. (more…)

Lookin' sharp and talking straight!

My recent post of Ann Coulter‘s column has proven very popular.  Well, she’s Ann Coulter.  However, I also believe the ISSUE of public sector unions is still very much on readers’ minds.

So,  here’s another excellent column by someone you might not expect.  One of the few staunch conservatives in the entertainment business is Chuck Norris.

Read Chuck’s history from the Wikipedia, the man is a classic American success story.  I have it referenced here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Norris

He came from humble beginnings and remains a humble man.  He does, however, have strong opinions and they are eloquently expressed below.

Chuck brings a new slant to the debate, which is why I’ve posted his entire article here.  This article is from  www.townhall.com.  Dig in.
